  1. Open Settings → Battery → Battery usage. Note which apps or system items lead the list; this is an observation, not a battery health measurement.

  2. Compare that usage with what you actually did. A recent setup or update can change background activity; do not infer failure from a single percentage.

  3. Keep Adaptive Battery and battery optimization enabled. Check app updates in Play Store. Review unusually active apps before changing their background behavior.

  4. Observe again during comparable normal use. Keep the duration and usage conditions in private notes; do not factory reset or run the battery to empty as a default test.

Check the result

  • Save the app-use lead and compare again after the reversible changes. This is not proof of battery condition.
  • Unexplained recurring drain needs Google support with your observations, especially if accompanied by heat or shutdowns.

Stop conditions

  • Stop using and charging a swollen or damaged battery. Do not open, compress, puncture, or attempt battery removal. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified service provider.
  • Disconnect a damaged accessory if it is safe to do so. Do not open a mains power adapter.
  • Save accessible data before restarting. Do not reset, erase, flash firmware, bypass a lock, or open the enclosure in this task.
