  1. Remove a removable case that prevents the charging plug from seating. Inspect the cable, charger and USB-C opening visually; do not insert objects or force a plug.

  2. Confirm the outlet works with another safe device. Try the cable and charger with another compatible device if available.

  3. Connect the Pixel directly with a compatible cable and charger. Note whether a charging battery icon appears; allow time for a deeply discharged device to respond following Google’s live guidance.

  4. If there is no screen response, distinguish a possible display problem from total power failure by trying to call the phone from another device. Preserve whether it rings in private service notes.

Check the result

  • Save the charging icon or ring response. A ring with a blank display is a support lead, not proof of a particular failed component.
  • If there is no response with a known compatible setup, contact Google support. Avoid opening the battery or guessing the USB-C board.

Stop conditions

  • Stop using and charging a swollen or damaged battery. Do not open, compress, puncture, or attempt battery removal. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified service provider.
  • Disconnect a damaged accessory if it is safe to do so. Do not open a mains power adapter.
  • Save accessible data before restarting. Do not reset, erase, flash firmware, bypass a lock, or open the enclosure in this task.
