Check the original power path on an Intel T14 Gen 2 without opening the case.
Camera shutter and meeting checks
Check an optional privacy shutter before treating a black camera preview as failure.
Planning estimate; excludes charging, cooling, backups and service. Not a measured repair time.
Confirm the exact model
Select a model confirmation to begin the checks. The full preparation guide is below.
Preparation guide
Inspect whether this unit has a webcam privacy shutter. Optional camera hardware differs by configuration; absence of an IR camera does not indicate failure.

If a shutter is fitted, slide it open without force. Try a local preview before testing a remote meeting.

Check the meeting app’s selected camera and permission setting locally. Do not publish a camera image or account details in this record.

Compare local preview with the meeting app. If only the meeting app fails, review that app’s support; if both fail, retain the comparison for Lenovo.

Check the result
- Save the shutter and app comparison. A local image with a failed meeting app suggests an app/settings path.
- If a fitted unblocked camera has no local preview, contact Lenovo with the observation. Do not remove the display bezel.
Stop conditions
- Stop using and charging a swollen or damaged battery. Do not open, compress, puncture, or attempt battery removal. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified service provider.
- Disconnect a damaged accessory if it is safe to do so. Do not open a mains power adapter.
- Save accessible data before restarting. Do not reset, erase, flash firmware, bypass a lock, or open the enclosure in this task.
