Confirm the exact model

Select a model confirmation to begin the checks. The full preparation guide is below.

  2. Look for the hardware scan or diagnostic function. Vantage features and labels can change; use its actual available controls.

  3. Run a non-destructive hardware scan with power stable. Do not accept BIOS flashing or a recovery reset as part of this task.

  4. Keep the result or failure code privately for support. If Vantage is absent, use Lenovo’s official support entry for your exact model rather than downloading an unofficial diagnostic.

Check the result

  • Save the scan availability and result. No reported issue does not rule out intermittent problems.
  • Provide the private scan result to Lenovo support. A result is not a component replacement instruction.

Stop conditions

  • Stop using and charging a swollen or damaged battery. Do not open, compress, puncture, or attempt battery removal. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified service provider.
  • Disconnect a damaged accessory if it is safe to do so. Do not open a mains power adapter.
  • Save accessible data before restarting. Do not reset, erase, flash firmware, bypass a lock, or open the enclosure in this task.
